Have you ever wondered what goes on at Palmer Elementary school or what types of programs are available for the children? I spoke with Elizabeth Trujillo, Palmer’s Principal, about the programs, number of students and new projects happening at the school. While I was there I also met Lisa Kerin Welch, 2009′s PTA President, who explained the new learning landscape installation that will break ground on May 22, 2009. Palmer Elementary school is hosting a groundbreaking that morning to celebrate a changing playground environment. Lisa and Elizabeth are both very excited that the entire playground area will be redeveloped into a learning landscape which will feature more native plantings, running track, new swings and an entire make-over of the current playground.
