Mayfair Neighborhood celebrates “Feast on the Fax 2009″
The 4th annual Feast on the Fax is an annual event designed to highlight the wide variety of Mayfair restaurants along the Colfax corridor. This years event was a big hit with many happy people enjoying food from a variety of businesses along the Colfax corridor. The fun began at 5:00pm with participants registering at 1 of four restaurants where they picked up their big, green button showing they paid. Mataam Fez was a highlight for many with the added attraction of a belly dancer welcoming guests as they entered the restaurant. Mataam Fez offers morroccan fare with intimate spaces for relaxing and feeling like you are in an enchanted land far away from Colfax. Walking along Colfax was a lot of fun as people would offer tips on what food was good and their impressions of this year’s event. The Cork House owner, Ed Novak. and his lovely wife, Perry, welcomed guests into their restaurant and are offering a FREE Mimosa or Bloody Mary to anyone mentioning you read about them in this blog….www.MayfairDenver.com on any Saturday or Sunday through July with the purchase of a brunch entree!

See there are reasons to keep up to speed with what is happening in Mayfair. For those of you looking for fun outdoor patios this summer, I can now throroughly recommend The Elm for watching Colfax up close. Solera also boasts a beautiful hidden garden patio and a large wine selection just waiting for you to taste test. The Cork also offers a lovely shaded outdoor patio for meeting up with friends. Mozart’s has an enclosed patio but the best part was the baby grand piano with piano player warming up for a night of tunes. The shuttle bus from Mozart’s to Senor Pepe’s was quite a rowdy bunch with jokes being tossed around like water balloons that exploded in laughter. The perfect end to an enjoyable evening of celebrating Colfax and its variety of restaurants and people. Hope you can join in the fun next year.
