Snooze Eatery is a proven hit!  Since the day the doors opened at  their second location on the corner of  7th and  Colorado Boulevard, Snooze has generated lines of enthusiastic foodies waiting to dive into one of their specialty pancakes.

For many anxious customers waiting in line, Snooze is offering a great breakfast joint to replace the sorely missed, Annie’s Cafe that moved over to Colfax a little bit over a year ago. 

The decor of Snooze harkens back to the late 50’s early 60’s age of fascination with rocket ships and mid-century modern design.  The blue and orange combination of colors along with the architecturally interesting light fixtures only increases the enjoyment of your dining experience.  

The restaurant has many dining spaces ready to accommodate a variety of party sizes such as:  circular booths, bar seating and two top tables for smaller parties. 

Snooze has a liquor license which allows you to order Mimosas, Bloody mary’s and other assorted beverages for washing down the yummy breakfast entrees. 

If you are looking for that caffeine jolt to wake you up never fear as they have a full espresso bar to prepare your latte’s, espressos, americanos and every imaginable style of coffee your heart desires.

Mark your calendar now for this Saturday, August 22nd at 6pm to stop by Mayfair Park. 

You will be delighted to find the Denver Municipal Band performing and filling the air with music. 

Enjoy the music while  lounging on your picnic blanket with a basket of goodies to share with your friends and family under a beautiful Colorado sky (hopefully rain free). 

There will be face painting for the kiddos and a few vendors selling refreshments but you are encouraged to bring your own.

All the fun begins promptly at 6pm so grab your gear and head over to the park.  Be on the lookout for me as I will be there with my ever trusted video camera to get your opinion on the goings on.

Mayfair residents will have an opportunity to get rid of unwanted electronic items such as tv’s, computer monitors, cell phones etc being stacked up in your house and garage. 

The recycling event will be held on Academy Boulevard and Rampart Way, In front of Hangar 2 ( see PDF of map here). 

Feel free to bring all your unwanted electronics. 

Cost : $8 per monitors, $10-25 dollars for TV’s based on the size, $5 CPU’s;  all other items will be free to recycle. ** Pay with cash or check only***

Proceeds go to GRX ( Guaranteed Recycling Xperts) for the cost to recyle in an environmentally responsible fashion.

The Fax partnership is hosting another 1st Tuesday on the “Fax” tonight at Mozart’s. 

Come join in the fun and eat a few tasty treats. 

 Network with Mayfair and Colfax area business owners to promote your business or learn more about theirs.  This group promotes local Mayfair restaurants and various Colfax businesses monthly.

The Fax partnership was formed to promote and encourage the revitalization of America’s longest  street, Colfax Avenue.  Read James Bow’s personal protests to Colfax’s claim of being the longest street in America. 

The event begins tonight, August 4th, 2009 at 5:00pm and lasts until 7:00pm.

This past month in Mayfair was a fairly active one.  Fifteen homes were sold ranging from a low of $160,000 for a 630 sq. ft townhome with HOA fees of $140 per month to a high of $918,000 for a 3,280 main floor sq. ft plus a finished basement of 1,714 sq. ft for a total sq. ft of 4,413 finished sq. ft.

660 Kearney was the highest priced home that sold in July.  It was built in 2009 by Colorado Custom home builders.

1244 Albion was the lowest priced sale at $160,000.  This home is a townhome and was built in 1940 and offered updated amenities such as stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, open floor plan with laundry in unit and 1 off street parking space.
